Rev. Thomas H. Allen

Senior Pastor

Thomas began his ministry at Angier Baptist in June of 2019.  A graduate of Campbell University Divinity School, Thomas is committed to teaching the Word of God and sharing God’s love with everyone.  Thomas believes that the gift of conversation is one of the greatest gifts God has given us and he welcomes each opportunity to share with the people around him.  He has served churches in North Carolina and Florida, and he most recently served as Pastor at First Baptist Church, Rowland, NC.  Thomas and his wife, Ashley, are proud parents to three children—Julianne, Adelaide, and Mack.  In his free time, Thomas is most often enjoying time with his family, but you also might find him cheering on his undergraduate Alma mater, Wake Forest University, as well as watching sports of all kinds.

Rev. Kim East

Associate Pastor of Children and Families

Kim was called to Angier Baptist Church as the Associate Pastor of Children and Families in June 2022.   Kim began serving as Children’s Minister in 2008 for our youngest members birth-5th grade. She earned a Master of Faith and Leadership Formation Degree at Campbell University Divinity School in May of 2021 and was Ordained as a Minister in September of 2021.  Kim is passionate about building lasting relationships with families and finds great joy in watching children grow and deepen their faith in Christ.  Kim is also involved in community  projects such as Buddy Backpack,  the local Food Pantry and other outreach programs.  She enjoys spending time at her home in Willow Spring, where she shares life with her husband, Mike.  Together, they cherish family moments with their two beautiful daughters, Kayla and Jessica.  Kim is especially proud of the close bond they all share, which now includes her wonderful son-in-law, Brandon.  Whether it's hosting family gatherings, enjoying quiet evenings on the porch, or celebrating life's milestones together, Kim finds joy in the love and connection that fill their home.

Pam Benson

Church Operations and Communications Assistant

Pam has been part of the Angier Baptist family since the fall of 2013.  In June 2025, she stepped into the role of Church Operations and Communications Assistant, where she helps keep our church connected and running smoothly.  Pam’s love for ministry shines in her many years of  service to our Children and Youth programs. Outside of church, she cherishes every moment spent with her three sons—Nate, Jack, and Charlie—who are the light of her life.

Wayne Langness

Custodian

Wayne joined Angier Baptist in 2021 and he is a crucial part of the Angier Baptist family. Wayne helps keep our church buildings and grounds in the best shape so we can continue to worship each week. Wayne enjoys spending time with Diane, his wife of more than 50 years.

Lee McLean

Interim Minister of Music

Lee has been a longtime member of Angier Baptist and began playing accompaniment in 2010.  She has been serving as our Minister of Music since January of 2024.  She finds great joy in her work as a nurse and cherishes every moment spent with her family—especially her daughter Jennifer, her beloved granddaughter Ellie, and her son-in-law Eric.

Andrew Whitley

Organist

Andrew has been with Angier Baptist Church since August 2024 and has lived in the area his whole life.  Growing up, he played in the Triangle Youth String Orchestra, and was a member of the National Piano Guild. Andrew graduated from Campbell University in 2023 with a degree in Piano Pedagogy.  He also currently teaches piano lessons at Snyder Music Academy in Fayetteville.   Andrew feels blessed to serve with Angier Baptist.

Lynne Wilkerson

Administrative Assistant

Lynne has been part of the ministry team at Angier Baptist Church since April 2010.  She is often the first warm smile to greet you in the office and is always ready to help with anything you need.  Lynne’s background as a meeting planner shines through in her excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and gift for keeping everything running smoothly.  She loves caring for people and making everyone feel welcome. Outside the office, you’ll often find her planting flowers in her garden, enjoying time with friends, playing with animals, or cheering on her son Duncan, who loves playing basketball.  Lynne considers it a true blessing to serve the Angier Baptist family and strives each day to share Christ’s love through kindness and service.
