Pastor – Rev. Thomas Allen

Thomas began his ministry at Angier Baptist in June of 2019. A graduate of Campbell University Divinity School (M.Div with Distinction), Thomas is committed to teaching the Word of God and sharing God’s love with everyone. Thomas believes that the gift of conversation is one of the greatest gifts God has given us and he welcomes each opportunity to share with the people around him. He has served churches in North Carolina and Florida, and he most recently served as Pastor at First Baptist Church, Rowland, NC. Thomas and his wife, Ashley, have 3 children, Julianne, Adelaide, and Mack. In his free time, he is probably with his family but you also might find him cheering on his undergraduate Alma mater, Wake Forest University, as well as watching sports of all kinds.

Associate Pastor – Rev. Allison Collier

Allison began her ministry with Angier Baptist  in February 2005. As a two time alum from Campbell University (BA in 2005 & M.Div with Languages in 2008), she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree to become a “three hump camel”!  She is passionate about serving God and others, supporting community events, being in the local schools to support teachers and students, and serving in Missions with both the youth and college students at Angier.  Allison is married to Jared Collier and is the proud mother of Josiah and Liam.

Ministry Assistant – Lynne Wilkerson

Lynne began her ministry at Angier Baptist In April of 2010. She enjoys planting flowers in the garden, socializing with friends, playing with animals, and spending time with her husband Troy and son Duncan. In the past Lynne has served as a meeting planner with great coordinating skills, organization, and administrative tasks.  She is a constant friendly face and knowledgeable resource as she strives to aid everyone who walks into the office at Angier Baptist.

Custodian – Tom Cochrane

Tom has worked at Angier Baptist Church since 1999. He is a retired veteran and does a wonderful job.  “Mr. Tom” is loved by both children and adults as he willingly gives of his time and talents to speak to everyone and keep the church looking beautiful each day.  Tom is known for his quick wit and love of laughter.  He lives with his wife Joanne and enjoys traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Children’s Minister – Kim East

Kim has served over 10 as Children’s Minister for our youngest members birth-5th grade. She works with the RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends as well as Kids for Christ.  Her love is watching the children grow in their faith and helping out with local mission projects. She lives in Angier with her husband Mike and has two beautiful daughters – Jessica and Kayla.

Music Minister – Barbara Hudson

Barbara has enjoyed service at Angier Baptist since 1995. In addition to the Chancel Choir, she directs 2 hand bell choirs and the praise group (Golden Gems). She received Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music from UNC-Greensboro and is retired from teaching at Campbell University’s Music Department after 33 years. Married to Chris since 1987, Barbara is proud to be the mother of Alex, Zadok and Carrie Anna.

Accompanist – Nancy Oakes

Nancy has served Angier Baptist for many years as the accompanist on the organ.  She and her husband Wayne live in Angier, NC and have three children.  They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and relaxing at home.

Daycare Director – Kitty Stanfield

Kitty has served the Angier Baptist Church Daycare as director for over 17 years.  Her dedication and love for all of the children and staff in the center is apparent everyday. Kitty is currently furthering  her degrees in Early Childhood education and already has her NC Early Childhood Credentials, NC Early Childhood Administrative Credential, CPR/First Aid Certified, SIDS Training, BSAC Training, Fire Safety Training, and Playground Safety Training.  She is the devoted wife of John Stanfield and loving mother to Jay.

Overcomer’s Director – Chris Hockaday

Chris Hockaday Deacon 2015 Chris has served for several years as the director of the area’s Overcomer’s group.  This ministry meets weekly and reaches families that deal with addictions and grief in the surrounding communities.  He is married to his beautiful wife Regina.
